Harley Davidson, 1978 Hd Cagiva Sst350, Genuine 1740 Miles, All Parts Original Including The Tyres, Mot Until November 2013.
I Bought The Bike In 2003 From A Neighbour Who Had It From New, It Had 400 Miles On The Clock, I Have Added Another 1,340 Miles In 10 Years. All The Parts Are Original From The Spark Plug To The Tyres, Most Of The Parts Are Marked Amf Harley Davidson.
The Red Paint Work Was Tired So I Stripped It Back To Bare Metal And Had It Resprayed With Cellulose, The Logos And Trims Are Original. The Chrome On The Rear Wheel Is Lifting In Places And There Are Some Small Chips Here And There On The Paint Work, Apart From That Its In Good Condition And Runs Nicely.
In The Late 70's Hd Were In Financial Trouble, Two Brothers Working In The Amf Factory In Italy Bough The Factory And The Rights To Use Hd-amf Name. For The First 2 Years, 1978-1980 The Used The Name Hd Cagive While They Used Up The Amf Harley Stocks, After That Cagive Was Born In Its Own Right.
The Vin Number Is Very Low So It Must Have Been One Of The First Off The Hd Cagive Line. Its A Very Nice Bike To Ride And Can Be Thrown Around A Fair Amount.
